At the end of the research season interns are required to present a talk at the General Scientific Meetings held at the Marine Biological Laboratory, as well as write either an abstract or short paper to submit for peer-review and potential publication in the Short Paper section of the Biological Bulletin, published by the MBL. This provides interns with the opportunity to fully experience an often-omitted part of training for "doing science", that is, telling others orally and in writing, what they found in their research. Intern names are specified in bold in the following list of publications.
