My research interests revolve around topics relating to groundwater discharge to estuaries and coastal ocean. In my lab, we use a suite of naturally-occurring geochemical tracers (radium isotopes, radon) to quantify the input of groundwater and associated contaminants (e.g. nutrients, trace metals) to estuaries. Whenever possible, we use the latest technology to address this issue; this has led us to develop submersible sensors for detecting groundwater flow along the shoreline. Potential topics include: To learn more about my research, visit my lab website at: http://www.whoi.edu/science/MCG/groundwater/index.htm
