The theme of my research is
the general topic of aquatic productivity. My approach to understanding aquatic
productivity has been through the study of the cycles of carbon, nitrogen,
phosphorus and sulfur at the process, ecosystem, and global levels.
To examine the distribution of carbon, nitrogen,
and sulfur isotopes along detailed transects from land to the estuary
To study the retention of a nitrogen isotope
tracer in estuarine sediments and biota after 1 year has elapsed
To study the uptake of nitrate and ammonium
by oligohaline phytoplankton in the Parker River Estuary
