In order to enhance wild bay scallop population, the County of Barnstable and the Aquaculture Program are involved in a partnership to spawn wild broodstock and release offspring into local waters.  This project involves conditioning and spawning  multiple batches of broodstock throughout the year.  The ehancement effort will be assessed in the near future using conventional sampling techniques and molecular characterization.
