Congratulations, Dr. Cassandra Bilogan

Cassandra BiloganBrown-MBL PhD candidate Cassandra Bilogan, of the Bell Center for Regenerative Biology at MBL and the Department of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Brown, successfully defended her thesis, “Analysis of endoderm patterning and pancreatic organogenesis in Xenopus laevis,” at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 5th, receiving an unconditional pass. Please join us in congratulating her on her successful PhD!

This is also a special time for the Bell Center as she is the first PhD student to graduate in the Bell Center. Marko Horb, Associate Scientist in the Bell Center, and Director of the National Xenopus Resource at the MBL, has been serving as Cassandra’s thesis adviser.

Dr. Cassandra Bilogan has lined up a postdoc at the Lerner Research Institute in Cleveland in the lab of Takuya Sakaguchi who works on zebrafish hepatocyte-endothelial interactions.
