Use the tools of molecular biology and biochemistry to study the control of growth, reproduction, and disease. Use techniques at several biological levels including transgenesis, molecular genetics, biochemistry, and traditional physiology. The ultimate goal of these studies is to develop methodologies and reagents to control reproduction, enhance growth, and increase disease resistance.
