Travel Reimbursement

STUDENTS

Students who travel from MBL to Brown or from Brown to MBL for meetings with advisors, PhD committee members, seminars, classes or TA-ships are reimbursed for mileage or for bus tickets.

NOTE: If you anticipate needing reimbursement for more than one roundtrip per week or more than $1300 total over the course of a semester, please discuss your situation with the Program Director or Coordinator prior to engaging in travel that exceeds these general guidelines.

Students requesting reimbursement for mileage or bus fare should fill out a travel reimbursement form and send it by snail mail, house mail or e-mail to the Brown-MBL Program Coordinator (mbl.brown at mbl.edu).  If you are requesting mileage reimbursement, simply complete the form and submit it. If you are requesting reimbursement of bus tickets, please include your original receipts with the form. Also, please complete the ‘carbon footprint’ calculation section each time you submit a form. If you are sending the form electronically, you do not need to sign it. You can request a travel reimbursement form by emailing the Brown-MBL Program Coordinator (mbl.brown at mbl.edu).

FACULTY
