MBL COURSES
CDP Faculty and Visitors regularly contribute to MBL courses, including the following:
Analytical & Quantitative Light Microscopy (AQLM)
Optical Microscopy & Imaging in the Biomedical Sciences
VISITING INVESTIGATORS
Postdoctoral fellows and advanced graduate students are welcome at the CDP, along with professorial investigators. The Program also hosts sabbatical visitors.
TRAINING & WORKSHOPS
Training to investigators is offered in several capacities.
- Postdoc, graduate students & new visitors: Length of stay is typically 1-2 months. Training is offered in all aspects of instrumentation and techniques, and researchers receive ongoing support from staff scientists.
- Returning visitors: Investigators may be conversant with basic methodology but will receive updates on techniques and be able to apply newer systems to the biological problem. Scientific input & discussion with staff scientists is always available.
- Platforms specifically designed for the interest of a particular researcher: In this case, platforms are built at the CDP, researchers visit the Center for training and ultimately a duplicate platform is installed at the respective laboratories.
* The Program operates year round and accepts visitors on an ongoing basis.
