MBL is committed to actively training its undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, and research associates in the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).  Driven in part by federal regulations specific to NSF- and NIH-supported projects, MBL has chosen to train all scientists beginning their research career in ethical scientific behavior.

The goal of MBL’s ethics training program is to increase integrity within the MBL community through awareness, attention, and open discussion.  The program is designed to increase participants’ knowledge of the standards applied to scientific conduct, critical thinking, principled research procedures, scholarly attitudes, and institutional values so that collaboration succeeds and MBL continues to thrive.
