Cod Broodstock Program
On October 10th, Dr. Rick Goetz, transported
two cod broodstock back to the Marine Resources Center from a research vessel
out of Chatham, MA. The two fish are currently in a large round tank
and appear to be doing well. More information will be posted as research
develops.
In mid November about 20 additional cod were obtained and transported back to the MBL. Before being brought into the MRC, the fish underwent treatment for any pressure disorders and parasites. Photos of the operation can be seen below
