1.0 Policy Statement:
Skateboarding/rollerblading is not allowed inside MBL buildings nor on loading docks, building entrances (including stairs), outdoor areas where employees regularly gather, or on any benches, tables, stairs or platforms, or any place where there would be a safety or property damage concern. MBL employees who witness skateboarding/rollerblading activity on the MBL campus should inform skateboarders/rollerbladers of this policy. If the activity continues, employees should notify the Manager of Plant Operations and Maintenance or the Watchperson.
2.0 Police Intervention:
If there are continuous problems with an individual skateboarder/rollerblader, a notification of trespass should be mailed to the individual with a copy to the Falmouth Police Department. Forms are available from the Police Department. This will allow the Police to do their job without placing MBL staff members in an extreme confrontational position.
3.0 Policy Clarification and Updates:
Policy clarification and updates are available from the Facilities office.
