MBL E-mail Information
Request an e-mail account
Qualified MBL affiliates may request an e-mail account by submitting a work order at helpdesk.mbl.edu or by calling the helpdesk, x7654. The fee for an email account is $50.00 per year or any portion thereof and is renewed every calendar year.

The procedures for configuring mail clients vary based on the software used and the operating system the software is running on. Following is information you will need to configure your mail client to access our mail server.

Where do Spammers get my address?
Spammers can get your e-mail address from almost anywhere you make your address public. You may have nothing to do with the spammer. Spammers can also get your e-mail address because you, or somebody you know gave it to them.
What can I do to avoid SPAM?
Using filters in your e-mail software to block SPAM. Here at the MBL, we provide SPAM filtering. If you are using MBL e-mail account, you should set up you e-mail software to redirect SPAM to trash or a designated folder.
