Wireless network access is available to everyone in the MBL Community. There are two separate Wireless networks that are available across the entire campus. The MBL-GUEST wireless network is an easy access encrypted wireless network designed to provide access to the public Internet. The MBL also offers the ability for users to connect to the “eduroam” community wireless network, which is also a secure wireless network but is only available to users whose home institution is also an “eduroam” Identity Provider. The MBL-REGISTER network is designed for MBL Staff and Researchers that need access to internal Network resources.
Wired Network Access is available in all Laboratories and Office Buildings on the MBL Campus to Registered Users with valid MBL Single-Sign-On Credentials. All computers on the wired network must be registered to owner/operator of the device.
A Virtual Private Network Connection (VPN) is available for MBL Staff and Researchers that need the ability to securely access network resources from off campus. The MBL VPN connection requires Java to run on your computer. Please make sure ou have the latest version of Java before connecting to the MBL VPN for the first time.
