The Digital Processing Center (DPC), MBl Lillie 203, issues access cards to employees, faculty, students, and conference attendees of affiliated Woods Hole institutions.

Network Security Policy
It is the policy of the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) to prohibit the unauthorized use of the MBL Network itself and those computing resources connected to the network.
Password Policy
Insecure passwords place our network at risk and all networks that our users contact. This policy is intended to serve as a guide for users when selecting and changing their passwords.
Telecommunications Policy
The MBL offers one phone and one single line phone outlet and data network access in scientific laboratories and office space. Requests for reconfiguration of drops and/or telephone connections will be charged back to the requesting cost centers, grants and/or contracts.
Purchasing of Computer Resources by MBL Staff and Researchers
Because the MBL is working toward a standard of easy access to information using the existing network infrastructure, we recommend that employees and scientific staff check with IT to make sure that the purchase is compatible with the network standards, hardware, and locally supported software.
