MBL Telephone-Conferencing Service
The MBL can provide phone-conferencing services to the faculty, staff, and research communities. This service enables clear, easy-to-use communication for conference participants and can be set-up in several locations on campus.
Conference Setup:
All conference calls are set up ahead of time, preferably a minimum of 24 hours in advance. To set up a conference, call the Information Technology Department Help Desk at extension 7654, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
State of the art, full-duplex conference telephones are available for the Information Technology department. Upon request, a conference phone can be delivered and installed. Please allow 24 hours notice.
Note: At times, space for conference calls can be limited, so try to set up your conference well in advance, contact Housing & Conferences to check the availability.
To Participate: Conferences can be set up in one of three ways:
- A host participant can initiate the conference using an MBL telephone and an approved MBL account code (if long distance charges apply. Call the Help Desk to obtain a code. )
- The participant of the hosting conference calls the specified phone number (depending on the conference location within the MBL campus) at the scheduled time which enables participants to engage.
- Using AT&T hosting services, participants call a designated phone number and are virtually conferenced together. This is recommended for conferences with multiple parties involved. Contact the Help Desk for information.
