Ophioderma brevispina The latin name translates to "Snake-skin short-spine". This brittle star is easily recognized by the seven or eight short spines projecting from each arm segment. Like other brittle stars, these echinoderms are capable of a relatively fast snaky motion. The color is usually green or brownish with a diameter of 10-15mm. And arm length of 40-60mm.
