Fourth of July Parade and refreshments
Ritchie Porter’s Treasure Island, Wednesday, July 9, 7 PM. Let your imagination set sail in this one-man rendition of Stevenson’s classic tale of a boy embarking on the adventure of a lifetime. Members: Adults, $6; Kids, $4. Guests: Adults, $8; Kids, $6
Model Boat-building Seminar, July 14 & 16, 10:30 am - noon. Build your own model wooden Spritsail boat from a kit, paint it and test it on Eel Pond. Kids 10 and older are welcome and so are parents. Sign up early so we’ll know how many kits to order. Members: $7; Guests: $10
MBL Lecture Series, Wednesday, July 16th, Andrea Rugh will be coming to talk at the Club at 7pm. The title of her lecture is "Does Culture Matter in Exporting Democracy to Other Countries?" This is a hot topic now that will include examples from several countries, and also provide background on the difficulties the US may face in Iraq.
Poetry Reading, On July 23, at 8PM, Alison Robb will give a poetry reading at the Club.
Make Your Own Kite Seminar, July 28 & 30, 10:30 AM - noon. Create a kite and take it to the beach on a windy day. Kids of all ages are welcome. Sign up early so we’ll know how many kits to order. Members & Guests, $5 - 10 (depending on number of people who sign up.)
Rainforest Reptile Show, Wednesday, July 30, 7:30 PM. Back by popular demand! A performance to delight all ages. Come learn about and touch a sampling of reptiles and lizards from rainforests around the world. Members: Adults, $4; Kids, free. Guests: Adults, $6; Kids, $4

Red Cross Blood Drive, Thursday, August 18, all day. ACTIVITIES WILL BE CANCELLED FOR THE DAY.
Salsa Workshop in August (date to be confirmed). Learn to Salsa and enjoy an evening of dance. Members, free; Guests, $10/class
