The Year of the
Gift Shop
The year 2004 brought many changes to the MBL Associates Gift Shop. Under the active leadership of Peter Boyer, Saralee Marshall and Julie Child, the Gift Shop Committee found ways to enhance shop operations through better visibility, more professional fixtures, and a more efficient layout of the shop's interior.
Working with retail design specialists, the committee created a store design plan that incorporated many new fixtures, as well as the glass cubes already in place at the shop. The results? More storage and display space, and a welcoming new look.

Call for Volunteers
The MBL Associates has lots of opportunities for you to help the Laboratory.
We're in need of volunteers for:
- the Gift Shop
- the summer Tour program
- MBL Library projects, especially the Herbarium project
- help with events (like the International Students Picnic)
- and other projects as they arise.
