Support
Proceeds from the MBL Gift Shop are used to fund Fellowships which make it possible for investigators to pursue their research at the MBL each summer.

The MBL Associates provides an important link between the Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) and the public, and welcomes for membership anyone interested in the laboratory's work and development.

The Associates was formed in 1944 to provide a connection to the MBL for friends, both scientists and non-scientists. The group's mission also includes informing the public about the MBL; sponsoring educational and cultural programs for the MBL and the neighboring community; and raising funds for special projects at the MBL. Today, the MBL Associates is composed of more than 400 members, including area residents and visitors from other states and countries who want to learn more about the exciting work of this distinguished research institution and to develop and ongoing relationship with it.
