Cleaning Procedures

To help keep the MBL campus as clean as possible, we are encouraging an “all hands” effort to reduce infection spread.

Environmental Services (EVS) is focusing their attention on “high-touch” surfaces in public spaces. Employees are encouraged to clean and disinfect their workspaces. Regularly available disinfecting chemicals may be used or EVS will provide spray bottles filled with our commercial disinfectant to any department that is interested. Disinfectant should be used with disposable cloths or paper towels. Staff should wear disposable gloves when doing cleaning tasks and handling chemicals. Please contact Chad Baptiste, Environmental Services Manager at cbaptiste@mbl.edu; x7160 to request disinfectant.

EVS is boosting the frequency and focus of their daily campus cleaning procedures as well as incorporating additional steps specifically targeted to help control the spread of illness. Below are the focus areas. In addition, hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed in lobby areas of most of our buildings. Their use by all staff is strongly encouraged.

In addition, the MBL Stockroom has Kimberly-Clark WypAll L10 utility wipes and K-C WypAll X70 heavy duty cloths available for sale. They can be purchased using a MBL employee ID number and cost center number.
