The Virtual Conference will be followed by a three-day, hands-on Workshop giving participants the opportunity to delve deeper into various LSFM systems and to obtain hands-on experience from system developers and other experts. This workshop is specifically designed for graduate students, postdocs, and core facility managers. Participants will get ample opportunity to learn about sample preparation, aspects of instrument control and imaging, effective data handling practices and image analysis on a wide range of light-sheet systems. The goal of this workshop is to offer personalized training to participants on all these systems by offering a small group environment (2-4 participants per group) which will enable them to work with experts during the course of the workshop. The goal for this hands-on Workshop is to put participants, irrespective of their background, in a position to make informed and judicious decisions about using a light-sheet system for their specific biological research. Participants will be able to use their own samples or can choose from the samples available at the MBL during this course.
