There is no other place in the world like the Marine Biological Laboratory. An environment of discovery without equal, the MBL is a nexus where scientists meet and begin work that has a global reach.

The MBL’s role as an innovator in the biological sciences is legendary. More than 55 Nobel laureates have had a significant association with the MBL since its founding, and your support is an important part of that legacy. Contributions from individuals like you support our world-renowned research and education programs. To learn more about how philanthropy sustains our work, please visit our support website.

discovery-fundThe Discovery Fund supports all research and education at the MBL, strengthening every aspect of our mission. It provides tuition support, course materials, and laboratory supplies for the many students and faculty participating in MBL courses each year. The Discovery Fund supports the MBL’s resident research centers, Whitman scientists, and a wide range of Fellowships—supplementing grants, investments, and other funding sources. DISCOVER THE MBL!
