The Marine Biological Laboratory offers guided seasonal tours Monday through Friday at 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM from July 3 – September 1.

Tours meet at the Pierce Exhibit Center, 100 Water Street, Woods Hole and last approximately one hour. They include a visit to the Marine Resources Center for a look at the marine animals used in MBL research, a trip to the MBLWHOI Library, and a walking tour of the campus.

Reservations:

Reservations are recommended and can be made by clicking here or calling 508-289-7623.  If you cannot make your tour, please contact us as soon as possible.

For safety reasons, children under the age of five are not permitted in the Marine Resources Center.

Parking:

Public parking is not available on the MBL campus. For more information about metered street parking and other transportation options, visit woodshole.com.

We encourage visitors to take the WHOOSH Public Trolley which runs between the Falmouth Mall and Woods Hole along Route 28 and Woods Hole Road, seven days a week in the summer.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the high volume of visitors during the summer months, we cannot accommodate any school groups or special groups beyond our regularly scheduled tours (1pm & 2pm).

Off-Season Group Tours

A limited number of special group tours may be arranged during the off-season months (October through May), Monday through Friday. Tours last approximately an hour and consist of a visit to the Marine Resources Center for a look at the marine animals used in MBL research, a trip to the MBLWHOI Library, and a walking tour of the campus.
