Campus Facilities & Resources

Housing - MBL maintains a variety of comfortable, attractive, and affordable housing units open all year to our many guests. We assign housing for students, faculty, and scientists involved in our research and educational programs.

Dining - Sodexo is proud to provide dining services for the Marine Biological Laboratory community. We are very excited to have the opportunity to serve you quality food through a wide range of menu selections and dining options designed to meet your diverse dining needs, whether at Café Swope, the main dining room or a catered function.

Classroom, Lecture and Meeting Spaces - View layouts and capabilities for various spaces around campus.

Parking, Transportation and Grounds - We provide a wide variety of campus services including moving heavy equipment and course materials, recycling, shuttles, parking, grounds maintenance, warehouse management, bike room storage, and large-scale shredding.

Shipping and Receiving - The MBL Mail Room (located in Room 8A) handles all incoming and outgoing mail where it is processed and sorted. The Mail Clerk is responsible for MBL's incoming and outgoing mail. 

Campus Maps - General campus maps, accessibility, security lights, etc.

Information Technology - View information on multimedia services and telecommunications.

Security and Campus Emergencies - Campus Security provides 24-hour security services for the MBL Campus and MBL Community. Our mission is "To stand out while protecting from within and create an environment of safety and security."

Children's Programs - Marine Biological Laboratory children's programs are designed to provide age-appropriate activities and supervision for children of MBL faculty, investigators, administrators, and staff.

Bicycle Rentals: The MBL has partnered with Rideaway Adventures to provide bike rental options to our MBL community as well as the visiting public.

Boating Club: The MBL Boating Club represents the MBL community in the management and maintenance of the outhauls along the Lillie seawall and one side of the Swope Dock.
