Notice of Nondiscrimination | Marine Biological Laboratory

The Marine Biological Laboratory (MBL) does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, sex, national origin, ancestry, disability, age, military service, marital status, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or other factors as prohibited by law. This prohibition against discrimination applies to admission to and participation in the educational programs or activities that MBL operates, as well as to employment in those programs or activities. MBL is required by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 (Title IX) and the National Science Foundation’s Title IX implementing regulations not to discriminate on the basis of sex as described above.

Any inquiries regarding Title IX or MBL’s policy that prohibits discrimination and harassment should be directed to MBL’s Title IX Coordinator identified below. The Coordinator will be available to meet with or talk to individuals regarding issues relating to Title IX and MBL’s policy against discrimination and harassment, including the grievance procedures that are used to investigate and resolve alleged violations of that policy.
