General Information and Rates
Dormitories are located in the heart of the village of Woods Hole, just minutes from the MBL’s research and educational facilities. Some dorm rooms in the Swope Center overlook scenic Eel Pond. All dormitories are located a short walk from the MBL’s Stoney Beach.
The MBL’s 75 cottages are nestled in a pine forest located about a mile from campus. Regular round-trip van service is provided from the cottages to the campus weekdays and Saturdays during the summer months. A scenic bike path running from downtown Falmouth to Woods Hole is also in close proximity to the cottages. Tennis courts, paddle tennis courts and a playground area are located adjacent to the cottages. Child care and family activities are available at the MBL during the summer months for investigators who wish to bring their families.

Check in time for all MBL Housing is 2:00 PM on the date of arrival.
In Season: 5/1 – 8/30
Guests may check in at the front desk, located on the first floor of the Swope Center. The Swope office is fully staffed Monday-Saturday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Call for off-season Swope hours.
*If you arrive after office hours and find the door locked, use the call box at the front door the security staff will assist you with check in. Due to high demand for housing, individuals arriving prior to their registration date must make other arrangements for housing.
Departures
Unless arrangements have been made in advance with the Housing Office, occupants of all MBL housing must vacate their accommodations by 10:00 AM on the date of departure. Check-out instructions are provided prior to departure date.
