Sunday, May 18: Arrivals and Dinner

Fellows arrive. MBL’s Diana Kenney will meet fellows who arrive in time for dinner in the Swope Center Dining Hall at 6:00 PM.

Monday, May 19: Orientation

Breakfast available beginning at 7:30 AM

9:00 AM: Welcome and Orientation (Private Dining Room, inside 2nd Floor Dining Hall, Swope Center)
- Introduction of fellows, course faculty, and staff
- Fellowship logistics - Overview of MBL
- Walking tour of MBL campus

11:00 AM: Rare Books Tour (Lillie Building, MBLWHOI Library)
12:00 PM: Lunch (Swope Dining Hall)
1:00 PM: To classroom: Course goals and lab intro (Starr 209)
3:00 PM: Coffee break
6:00 PM: Dinner
7:30 PM: Informal / optional meet-up at Captain Kidd

Tuesday, May 20

9:00 AM: Field work at Waquoit Bay
12:00 PM: Lunch in field

1:10 PM: Specimen collecting trip on Gemma. Meet in front of Marine Resources Center (MRC) no later than 1:10 PM.
3:00 PM: MRC Tank Room Tour
3:30 PM: Back to lab (continued nutrient analysis)
6:00 PM: Dinner
7:00 PM: Lab (if needed)

9:00 AM: Lab: Algal experiments, photosynthesis and respiration
