Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) - The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) provides assistance to the MBL research community by identifying funding opportunities, reviewing and approving proposals, negotiating awards, and managing the requirements and terms of the awards. As steward of the MBL’s externally-funded research portfolio, OSP is responsible for ensuring that all research proposals and projects adhere to MBL and sponsor research policies.

Compliance and Ethics - MBL is committed to actively training its undergraduate students, graduate students, postdocs, research associates, and resident scientists in Conflict of Interest (COI) and the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR).  Driven in part by federal regulations specific to NSF- and NIH-supported projects, MBL has chosen to train all year-round scientists and scientific staff in ethical behavior.

For Foreign Nationals - Each year the MBL hosts over 400 international scholars from more than 40 different countries who come to the Laboratory to participate in a variety of scientific research and advanced graduate-level programs. Many foreign national visitors come together with their family members, all of whom need visas to enter the US. The Human Resources Office, with support from the Office of Education and Financial Services, is the main administrative and advising office on all visa matters and has developed these web pages to help answer visa questions.
