Multimedia Services
The Multimedia Services staff of the Information Technology Department offers a wealth of services to help you integrate engaging content into your course or help get you prepared for your upcoming conference or presentation. Whether you’re interested in incorporating audio or video elements into your presentation; connecting with classrooms and colleagues across the globe, coordinating and producing streaming video and content for the web or simply requesting assistance with multimedia rentals or integrated classroom technology, our staff can help.
Multimedia serves as the first on-site responder for help when delivered or installed multimedia systems, such as projectors, microphones and video conferencing systems do not function properly. If you need assistance or instruction please open a ticket with our help desk or contact Multimedia directly at ext. 7771.
Video Conferencing:
Multimedia offers several video conferencing options that you can use to connect and collaborate with colleagues across campus or around the world, reducing travel time and expense while increasing communication, collaboration and sharing.
Voice Conferencing:
The IT staff will setup a specialized phone for an audio only conference.
Projection Services:
Several large capacity rooms on campus are permanently equipped with modern projection capabilities. Most, but not all classrooms and conference rooms also have permanently installed projection equipment. If additional equipment or services are required for your room please contact Multimedia. Staff must be notified in advance. Projection Services requests outside of normal working hours (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM weekdays) are subject to technician availability and incur an overtime fee. Video Editing:
Multimedia offers project based editing options for your video production needs. Please contact us with the specifications for your project and we will generate a quote.
Streaming Services:
Multimedia can work with you to provide streaming content for your meetings, events and conferences. As part of our suite of classroom technology services we stream various events and lectures to the MBL community at large. We provide live streaming or on demand streaming to the web for distance learning, supplemental class instruction, live events, or important guest speakers. We can use the powerful lecture capture system in Clapp Auditorium to connect to any room on campus or elsewhere to record streaming content live or for future on demand viewing.

Many of these items may be rented and operated by the requester. Upon request, Multimedia will deliver equipment or provide instruction to those unfamiliar with the equipment. Some types of equipment will require set-up and operation by technicians.
