MBL, WOODS HOLE, MA—The MBL is pleased to announce SUCCESS (Shaping and Understanding Career Choices in Education, Science and Self), a new career development program for young scientists.

Chaired by MBL Director of Education Bill Reznikoff, SUCCESS will be a series of seven weekly lunchtime workshops led by panels of established scientists from institutions across the United States.

Topics will address everything from how to choose a career, to honing presentation skills, to obtaining funding, to finding appropriate mentors. A question and answer period will follow each presentation.

“The SUCCESS program fills an important void in our scientist education mission,” said ­­­­­Bill Reznikoff.  “We are pleased to share the expertise of MBL resident and visiting scientists with our students and young scientists through these valuable career-building workshops.”

The program will run from June 19 through July 31. There is no charge for the series and lunch will be provided.  Invitations will be sent weekly to the MBL community via e-mail.  Reservations are required.
