MBL's Zoe Cardon Elected to Board of Ecological Society of America
Zoe Cardon, senior scientist at the MBL Ecosystems Center, has been elected as a member-at-large of the board of the Ecological Society of America, a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of scientists. Founded in 1915, the Ecological Society of America (ESA) works to promote, raise public awareness and increase the resources available for ecological science. Members of the organization conduct research, teach, and use ecological science to address environmental issues.

Credit: Diana KenneyElected for a two-year term, Cardon is an ecosystems ecologist who supports training and collaboration essential for understanding and sustaining Earth’s natural systems. For the last two decades, Cardon has studied the interactions among plants, microbes, and soils. She considers the ESA to be her “home” society.
