Alan Grant Lunn

With sadness we share the passing of former MBL employee Alan Grant Lunn, who died on August 28, 2020 at the age of 91. Mr. Lunn worked at the MBL for more than 37 years. He held the positions of Caretaker (1958-1985), Supervising Caretaker (1985-1989) and Head Caretaker (1989 until his retirement in 1996). The MBL flag will be lowered in his memory.
He is survived by his three sons and their families, Peter Lunn and Lynne Francis-Lunn of Beverly, MA, James and Susan Lunn of Marion, MA and Jeffrey and Randee Lunn of Medfield, MA and grandchildren Steven Lunn of Beverly, MA, Mya and Corey Lunn of Marion, MA and Thomas and Cameron Lunn of Medfield, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woods Hole Museum, 579 Woods Hole Road, Woods Hole, MA 02543 or John Wesley United Methodist Church, 270 Gifford Street, Falmouth, MA 02540. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
