Nina Hocker
The Marine Biological Laboratory is saddened to share the passing of Nina Hocker, a longtime member of the MBL community, who died on October 15, 2026. The MBL flag will be lowered in her memory.
Hocker contributed greatly to the MBL’s research mission by serving as a non-scientist community member on the MBL's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) for 20 years.
We are deeply grateful for Nina Hocker’s dedication to the MBL’s research mission, and extend our condolences to Nina Hocker’s family, friends, colleagues, and the many MBL community members whose lives she touched throughout her years of service.
