Alison Crawford

Chief of Staff and Director of Board Engagement

Alison Crawford is the MBL’s Chief of Staff and Director of Board Engagement. Alison provides principal support to the Director in advancing the MBL’s vision and driving organizational strategic objectives and execution. She also works in partnership with the University of Chicago’s Office of the Secretary and MBL leadership and faculty to identify, develop, and implement new areas of programmatic and strategic engagement for the MBL Board of Trustees and other advisory councils and committees. Alison has a BA in English from Merrimack College and a MS in Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland. She has supported executive leadership at a variety of organizations including the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum.
