Artists, Scientists Share Insights on The Great Marsh in March 17 Event

Artists, scientists, and residents all treasure the expansive Great Marsh on the northeastern Massachusetts coast. On March 17, they will convene for "Restoration Matters," a virtual symposium on Great Marsh ecology and preservation. A special feature will be "Coffee Break with Artists of the Great Marsh," an exhibit of paintings, photography, and music evoking the region's beauty (see teaser below).

MBL's Anne Giblin will present at 9:15 AM on "Sea level rise impacts and what they may mean for Great Marsh restoration" at the event. Giblin is lead principal investigator of the Plum Island Ecosystems LTER, a national field site for studying portions of the Great Marsh and its ecology for more than two decades.
