Bret Grasse, manager of cephalopod operations at the MBL, recently appeared in a "National Geographic Wild" episode, Man vs. Octopus. Be sure to catch the next airing on June 28 at 8 AM ET.

Bret came to the MBL from Monterey Bay Aquarium, where as senior aquarist he maintained a collection of cephalopods including the vampire squid, glass squid, and the flapjack octopus. At the MBL, Bret is leading efforts to develop different cephalopod species as model systems for research and education.
