A new system that allows MBLWHOI Library patrons to comprehensively search the library’s holdings went live on July 8. Called PRIMO, it facilitates searching across collections: journal articles, books, the MBL and WHOI archives and even the Woods Hole Open Access Server repository. Searches can also extend to a global network of millions of records from PRIMO library partners.

PRIMO also introduces patrons to new workflows for checking out books, renewing them, and placing holds. Please visit the library website for more information on the new system.

If you are having any trouble navigating PRIMO, please contact the Library staff for assistance (e-mail library@mbl.edu; 508-289-7002). The Library space in the Lillie Building remains closed, but the Library staff is available to help retrieve items from the stacks.
