Kendra Buresch, research scientist and lab manager in the Hanlon lab at MBL, is on the brink of stardom! Buresch was featured in a segment of CBS's "Mission Unstoppable" on Saturday, May 13 (video below).

On camera, Buresch shows TV personality and scientist Fig O'Reilly some of the amazing abilities of cephalopods (cuttlefish, octopus and squid) and describes the research questions she is exploring in these fascinating creatures.

Hosted by actress Miranda Cosgrove, "Mission Unstoppable" is aimed at tweens and teens and is designed to spark their interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The show "highlights the fascinating female innovators who are on the cutting edge of science -- including zoologists, engineers, astronauts, codebreakers and oceanographers." The show is produced by actress Geena Davis, who brings "her passion for creating change in the portrayal of strong female characters in entertainment and media that positively influences young viewers."
