Glove Recycling
The MBL has partnered with Kimberly-Clark’s Right Cycle program to recycle nitrile and latex gloves. Glove recycling began in the Ecosystems Center with several designated boxes set up around the Starr and ESL laboratories. All nitrile and latex gloves made by Kimberly-Clark that would otherwise be discarded in the trash can now be disposed of in specially marked glove recycling boxes. The gloves are sent to Right Cycle where gloves are sorted and recycled into other plastic goods.
We hope this partnership will help divert laboratory waste from the trash stream and reduce the impact of the MBL’s research activities on the environment.
